Playas del Coco and Playa Hermosa are located next to each other but are totally different. Playas del Coco is much more tourist-oriented and there is plenty to do. On the other hand, Playa Hermosa is much quieter and laid-back.
The boardwalk
Of course, you can walk the beach from one end to the other. But for comfortable walking, you can use Amor de Temporada boardwalk in Playas del Coco.
Kayaking
Playas del Coco and Playa Hermosa are no good for surfing, we can recommend you try Tamarindo, Playa Hermosa in Jaco or Dominical. But, since there a few waves, it is perfect for kayaking.
Boating and jet ski are also big in Playas del Coco. Ask our agent Blu Stewart about it and while you’re at it, ask him to show you some properties.
Monkey head
Monkey head is right across from Playa Hermosa and is one of the most favorite diving sites. The dive is off of a mooring line and reaches a max depth of approximately 80 feet. The dive is a circular dive around the Monkey Head rock formation.
