Ever thought picking up digital photography as a hobby once you retire in Costa Rica? What are you going to do with so much time on your hands?
First, of course, you will sleep late and get rid of all those hours you missed out on while planning to make the big step of retiring in Costa Rica.
Then, you will help your better half to unpack and get the house organized. You might even think about all those books that you brought with you. Sit at the pool? Watch the views? Get a beer at the local bar?

Our client Peter Boyer, a retired air force/airline pilot has retired in Atenas, Costa Rica in 2012 and picked up on a great hobby that I would like to share with you and see if it warms you up for a future hobby. The Boyers bought their retirement home in Desmonte, a beautiful subdivision just outside Atenas, Costa Rica.
Nature and Birdlife
Peter has been an avid photographer for many years and started using professional Nikon DSLR camera equipment since 2000. He loves all photo subjects with a particular affinity for nature and bird life.
Peter has been fortunate to travel most of the world in his career as an aviator, this has presented him with unusual and special opportunities to photograph various scenes and wildlife in many places.
Retirement in Costa Rica
Peter spent the last number of years in the Middle East and India flying contract while living in a number of countries with his bride Edie. Edie and Peter chose to retire in Costa Rica because of the beauty of the country, the laid-back lifestyle and the wonderful weather year round.
Today, I want to share a few of Peter’s photography as a hobby with you, many of them taken in the backyard of their retirement home in Atenas or in their subdivision.
